Bellevue’s own Susan Buehler Named 2015 Woman of Distinction by Philadelphia Business Journal

Buehler is one of 25 women who will be honored on November 17th for leading the way in corporate, media and public relations

Bellevue Communications Group announced today that Susan Buehler, Executive Vice President at Bellevue Communications Group, has been named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2015 Women of Distinction. Susan serves as a trailblazer in the public relations industry and has performed exemplary work for many of Bellevue’s clients including Citizens Bank, Campbell Soup, Philadelphia Works, NHS Human Services and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The Philadelphia Business Journal is in its fourteenth year of selecting the area’s Women of Distinction. The award honors the most influential women in the region. Each Women of Distinction winner must be nominated by a peer for her career and community influence. The winners are then picked by a panel of judges. Out of over 200 nominations, Susan will be recognized as one of 25 women at the ceremony on November 17, 2015 at Vie on North Broad Street. Susan has been at Bellevue Communications Group since October 2001 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2012. She spent 17 years in the television news industry serving as an anchor, reporter, producer, and planning editor at Fox 29 in Philadelphia where she was responsible for making editorial decisions and planning daily news coverage. She covered a wide range of local and regional news stories and won an Emmy Award in 2001 for coverage of the pier collapse at a nightclub on Delaware Avenue. Prior to working at Fox, she spent time in Des Moines, Iowa and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

At Bellevue, Susan provides and implements strategic plans for corporate clients as well as counseling clients on developing clear and concise messages. She handles interactive media training for corporate executives and provides crisis communications techniques for companies dealing with the news media.

Susan earned her undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. She is a native of Bucks County and currently resides in Upper Dublin with her family. She is a Trustee of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Mid-Atlantic Chapter and is an active member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Society and the Public Relations Society of America. She also serves on the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Ad Club.
