Campbell Soup Foundation Honors Camden Community Heros and Volunteers at 11th Annual Awards Ceremony

Foundation Recognizes Leaders for Contributions to the City

CAMDEN, N.J. (Jan. 15, 2014) – The Campbell Soup Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB), recognized two community leaders and two local nonprofit organizations for their contributions to Camden at an awards ceremony held at the company’s world headquarters today. The Campbell Soup Foundation Community Awards pay tribute to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to improving the lives of Camden residents.  During an event attended by more than 100 local Camden leaders and community members, the Foundation presented four awards:

  • The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the Cooper’s Ferry Partnership,
  • The Campbell Healthy Communities Partner Award recognized Curtis Myers of the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties
  • The Hometown Hero Award was presented to Bridget Phifer, Executive Director of Parkside Business and Community in Partnership
  • The Volunteer Partner Award was presented to The Food Bank of South Jersey
