Sales of Crabfries® and Miller Lite on July 13th were donated to the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund

Philadelphia (July 13, 2015) – Chickie’s and Pete’s, the Philadelphia-area crab house and sports bar, celebrated National French Fry Day on Monday, July 13th by turning it into “Crabfries® Day,” selling its world famous Crabfries® at all full-service locations for $1 from 11am to midnight. As part of the promotion, Chickie’s and Pete’s also offered $5 Miller Lite Personal Pitchers to quench the thirst of hungry patrons. In partnership with the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund, all sales from each order of Crabfries® and each Miller Lite Personal Pitcher sold during the day were donated to the Survivors Fund, which benefits the families of fallen Philadelphia police officers.

In addition to in-store promotions on July 13th, the “Crabfries® Express” provided Crabfries® for Heroes by visiting local police districts in Philadelphia that have recently experienced a loss in the line of duty. The “Crabfries® Express” truck gave out FREE Crabfries® to officers at the 22nd, 24th/25th and 15th/2nd police districts.

Chickie’s and Pete’s flagship location in South Philadelphia marked the occasion by hosting the First Annual Crabfries® Eating Contest featuring Pete, local celebrities and members of the public. The winner of the Crabfries® Eating Contest received a $1,000 VISA gift card and FREE Crabfries® for life!
