NHS Human Services Foundation to Host 11th Annual Goals For Giving

Philadelphia Flyers alumni will go head to head against the NHS Blues in the hockey benefit

PHILADELPHIA – NHS Human Services Foundation will host the 11th Annual Goals for Giving Hockey Benefit on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 1:30PM to 3:30PM at the Flyers Skate Zone Northeast Philadelphia. Every year, the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni Team suits up to challenge the NHS Human Services Blues to raise money to support the mission of the NHS Human Services Foundation. This year, organizers hope to raise $115,000 through the event.

This year, the focus of NHS Human Services Foundation emphasizes “Putting Hunger in the Penalty Box,” providing funding to many Pantries of Pride within NHS Human Services. The “Pantry of Pride Power Play”aims to ensure no one goes hungry, teaches food preparation and lifestyle skills, and gives “the nourishment to learn” to children and adults in various NHS Human Services programs.

Watch Brian Propp, former Philadelphia Flyer, discuss his involvement with Goals for Giving and NHS Human Services Foundation on CBS3’s Talk Philly.
