Waverly Heights Named One of the Best Places to Work in 2014

Retirement Community recognized as one of the “Companies that Rock”

PHILADELPHIA (September 16, 2014)- Waverly Heights, Main Line Philadelphia’s top senior living community, has been named one of the Best Places to Work 2014. This is the fourth consecutive year that Waverly Heights has been recognized based on a confidential survey and information from its employees.

“We are extremely proud of our “Best Place to Work” designation,” said Tom Garvin, President & Chief Executive Officer of Waverly Heights. “Our employees take pride in making our community a wonderful place to live and work. This recognition is even more meaningful because it is based on how employees evaluate their experience with our organization.”

The Best Places to Work program is one of the first statewide programs of its kind in the country. It is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places to be employed in Pennsylvania. The award is based on a review of the company’s policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. This year, more than 56% of Waverly’s employees completed surveys.

The Best Places to Work in PA program is a public/private partnership supported by Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal.

At an awards dinner in December, Waverly Heights will be honored as one of the “Companies that Rock”.

For more than 25 years, Waverly Heights has established the reputation as the premier retirement community in southeastern Pennsylvania. It is nationally accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission and its skilled nursing center (Muirfield) has received the highest possible overall rating of five stars in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes for five consecutive years. In addition, Waverly is recognized for its award-winning grounds with gardens, majestic trees, and sprawling lawns.

Waverly Heights is a non-profit, non-sectarian Continuing Care Retirement Community providing independent living, personal care, and skilled nursing services and facilities. For further information about Waverly Heights, call 610-645-8764 or visit their website at www.waverlyheightsltd.org.
